Thrivemind

At the start of 2026, Little Chester Allotments were very pleased to welcome the Thrivemind project as new tenants of Plots 1 and 2a (just inside the main gate):

"Over the coming year, Thrivemind Village CIC will be developing the Share The Harvest micro-farm as a volunteer-led community micro-farm and kitchen garden. The micro-farm will grow food to support our free and affordable community meals, our community fridge, and to feed the volunteers who grow the food, helping us scale our food security work and reduce food waste.

A core focus of the micro-farm will be biodiversity and ecological regeneration, using vegan permaculture and climate-resilient growing methods that support soil health, pollinators, and wildlife. Alongside food production, the site will act as a hands-on learning space, engaging the local community in practical skills for resilience and self-sufficiency.

The micro-farm will strengthen our volunteer programme through skills-based involvement, training, and shared responsibility, while contributing to a more resilient, community-led local food system."
