Getting rid of Allotment Waste

All LCA plot holders are responsible for keeping their plots tidy and disposing of waste and rubbish.
Just about all green waste can be composted, if it's cut up small enough and left long enough. Annual weeds, garden clippings, dead plants etc can all be put in your compost bin to feed your garden in the future.
All other waste, including nasty weed roots like couch grass, bindweed and dandelions (to name a few!) must be bagged up and taken home to go in your black or brown bin or taken to your local recycling centre.
Pallet wood CANNOT be shredded as it contains nails. DO NOT put pallet wood on the chipping pile.
Carpet MUST NOT be brought on to the site.
Do not fill bags and leave them at the side of your plot. It is not the Maintenance team's responsibility to clear your waste. Remove it yourself. DO NOT put anything in the Maintenance team's skip.
